PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Ansen Fiberglass Cast Tape is a synthetic cast material used to mend and protect a broken leg or arm by encasing it in a cast.
It is an alternative to the plaster cast.

 

Fiberglass orthopedic casting tape is fiberglass cloth impregnated with a polyurethane resin, and upon contact with air or water
will begin to solidify in 6-8 minutes. Ansen Fiberglass Cast Tape is weight-bearing within approximately 20 minutes.

PRODUCT  FEATURES

1. Good Air Permeability: 

The holes on the product make good air-permeability, and it can prevent skin from infection, itch, or smell which are common in plaster bandages.

 

2. Excellent X-Ray Permissbility:

This product has much better X-Ray permissibility compared to a plaster bandage. Because of that, doctors can examine the wounded part without removing the bandage. Therefore, it helps the accuracy and integrity of the examination.

 

3. High Strength Low Weight:

This product's strength is 20 times that of a plaster bandage, but its weight is only one-fifth of it. Therefore, orthopedic casting tape has the nature of "high strength low weight". It can protect the body without bringing extra weight, and it can improve local blood circulation and therefore help to heal.

 

4. Waterproof:

Because of the nature of the materials, orthopedic casting tape is waterproof. It will prevent the body from water and therefore prevent second infection.

 

5. Environmental Friendly:

The material of this product can be fully burnt causing no harm to the environment.

 

6. Easy Operating:

The curing time of this product is only 30 minutes making it easier for doctors to apply; and the casting tape has good moulding ability so that it can be shaped by real needs.

INDICATION FOR USE
1. Cover the part to be treated with stockinette and put undercast padding around.

2. Wear the protective gloves prepared.

3. Choose the appropriate size of Ansencast. Open only one roll of Ansencast at a time.

4. Soak it in room temperature water for 5-10 seconds and brush off the water.

5. Wrap Ansencast spirally, taking care to avoid excessive tightness.

6. In general, put 3-4 layers but for the part that needs to support body weight put 5-6 layers.

7. Smooth and rub the surface to achieve good contact between layers.

8. After 3 - 15 minutes of application setting is ready and 20 minutes after setting. It can perfectly support the weight.

Removal: Ansencast can be cut more easily with the use of cast cutter, enabling quick removal.

PACKING & SHIPMENT
Each roll of fiberglass casting tape will be sealed in a foil pouch.
Then put the foil pouch in an inner box.
Then put the inner box in a carton
