Armorcast Structural Material is perfect for strengthening old cable, splices and auxiliary seals. No reworking is required, it's ready to wrap straight from the package. Armorcast Structural Material is fast and easy to apply, yet hardens to a strong, maintenance-free coating.
The fiberglass reinforced composite material forms a tough, durable covering that will harden in approximately 30 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours. Armorcast Structural Material can be used on pressurized or non-pressurized cable and either polyethylene or lead sheathed cable.
Armorcast Structural Material is packed (rolls) dry in a sealed foil envelope and is a flexible fiberglass knit fabric strip that has been saturated with a curable black urethane resin syrup that starts to cure when water is added. Once wet, the fiber strip becomes tacky and sticks to itself, so it wraps easily around almost any shape or size. Armorcast Structural Material is resistant to moisture, fungus, acid, alkali, ozone, sunlight, gasoline and high temperatures. It combines long life and very little maintenance.

1. Prepare the surface by cleaning and roughening the cable.
2. Put on enclosed latex gloves.
3. Put water into the packing bag, press several seconds and take out the tape. Squeeze out excess water.
4. Apply around the cable extending up to 50mm either side of the cable to ensure complete coverage. The bandage must be applied.
5. Quickly as curing begins once it is taken out of the water.
6. When wrapping, pull each layer tightly by using your hand to mold and squeeze the layers together.
7. Continue this action during and upon completion.
