Armorcast Structural Material is packed (rolls) dry in a sealed foil envelope and is a flexible fiberglass knit fabric strip that has been saturated with a curable black urethane resin syrup that starts to cure when water is added. Once wet, the fiber strip becomes tacky and sticks to itself, so it wraps easily around almost any shape or size. Armorcast Structural Material is resistant to moisture, fungus, acid, alkali, ozone, sunlight, gasoline and high temperatures. It combines long life and very little maintenance.
Armorcast Structural Material is perfect for strengthening old cable, splices and auxiliary seals. No reworking is required, it's ready to wrap straight from the package. Armorcast Structural Material is fast and easy to apply, yet hardens to a strong, maintenance-free coating. The fiberglass reinforced composite material forms a tough, durable covering that will harden in approximately 30 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours. Armorcast Structural Material can be used on pressurized or non-pressurized cable and either polyethylene or lead sheathed cable.

Application
* Wearing the gloves.
* Open the pouch and immerse the Ansen armorcast in fresh water for 4-6 seconds to activate. The entire contents must
be used once the pack is opened.
* Apply the Ansen armorcast around the damaged area, extending up to 50mm either side of the cable to ensure complete
coverage. It is important that the bandage is applied quickly as curing starts once it is taken out of the water.
* While wrapping, pull each layer tightly and firmly using your hands to mould and squeeze the layers together in a tightening
motion.
* smooth the surface until the Ansen armorcast has fully set.
APPLICATION TIPS & HINTS
* Please wear protective gloves when operating.

* Please do not open the bag before you use it.
* Clean the damaged area thoroughly, removing any foreign bodies
