Ansen Fiberglass Cast Tape is a synthetic cast material used to mend and protect a broken leg or arm by encasing it in a cast. It is an alternative to the plaster cast.

Fiberglass orthopedic casting tape is fiberglass cloth impregnated with a polyurethane resin, and upon contact with air or water will begin to solidify in 6-8 minutes. Ansen Fiberglass Cast Tape is weight-bearing within approximately 20 minutes.

The application is simple because of the water-activated resin, which allows you to control the set time for a quick and simple cast application. The material used in manufacturing Ansen Fiberglass Cast Tape is lightweight, which allows for patient mobility.

Ansen Fiberglass Cast Tape is extremely durable with tremendous strength due to the specially treated material.

1. Apply 1-2 layers stockinet over the affected body part 1-2 layers and additional padding can be used;

2. Wear surgical gloves ;

3. Choose the roll of proper size ;

4. Immerse the cast in normal temperature (21-24 degree) water for 4-6 seconds and squeeze 2-3 times Then remove from the water and squeeze out excess water ;  

5. Warp spirally,overlapping the previous layer by one-half or two-thirds the width of the roll ;
